Benchmarking of Small Business Environmental Performance
The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) is conducting an EPA-sponsored program that benchmarks environmental performance of selected industry sectors. The program was initiated in 2003 and will continue through 2006. Presently, three sectors are involved in the program:

metal finishing,

printed circuit board assembly, and

foundries.

The metal finishing project is an outgrowth of a previous EPA-sponsored effort, the Metal Finishing Strategic Goals Program. The printed circuit board assembly and foundry projects are being conducted in cooperation with associated trade organizations.

Information regarding each of these projects can be found on this web site.
